Orders. While many of our clientele opt for our in-stock offerings, there are many hundreds of catalogues for your in-store viewing. Adding tens of thousands of options! Wallpaper is best viewed in person...the electronic online versions fail to capture the nuances and beauty of most patterns. With that in mind, we allow clients to borrow catalogues or take samples to finalize options.

Walls Alive itself has been around since 1970, but there has been a décor store on this site since 1963 (Western Colour Spot 1963-1969)! We are easily the oldest independent paint and decor shop in Calgary. Age, however, has not enfeebled us!  We seek to carry goods made in jurisdictions that share our very real concern with reducing our footprint on the earth.  With few exceptions, almost all our paint options are Low VOC / No VOC and created using mineral or natural pigments. Our paints look better and last longer than most all other paints - surely the most environmental objective of all!

Additionally, we carry wallpaper options that are low/no PVC’s and are printed with water-based inks. It’s a complex marketplace, but we strive to seize the best environmental options while maintaining
best-in-class performance and utility for our clients.
