Lee Industries
Lee Industries is an earth-friendly furniture manufacturer which uses only sustainable materials and processes. All hardwood is harvested from certified sustainable forests, the cushions made of soy-based foam and recycled spun Dacron and their fine fabrics are milled in North America and Europe. In fact Lee Industries is one of a few companies who have earned the honored certificates for achieving the Sustainable Forestry Initiative & Chain of Custody. Further to this, Lee produces only out of North Carolina which is deemed the hub of quality furniture manufacturing in North America. It is these combined attributes which are the pride of Lee and the envy of other off-shore manufacturers. The quality is truly the finest, making this value added product a worthwhile investment for our clientele.
Whether you order from the catalogue or have your furniture customized, all pieces created at Lee are bench made, not mass-produced. Perhaps it’s the affinity for family values, the pride taken in the quality of production, or that Walls Alive and Lee Industries were born the same year and each company is into their 2nd Generation of family operations, but these critical fundamental qualities have created a long-standing relationship between the two companies.
Unlike most furniture manufacturers, each craftsman who applies their skill in the creation of your piece signs a bench-made certificate as a promise to you that pride and care have been taken during the construction of your piece. One could say it is similar to an artist signing their name to their latest creation. Visit the Lee Industries website to view their various styles of sofas, occasional chairs, dining chairs, ottomans, benches and upholstered beds.

Hurtado
Hurtado builds wood furnishings for your bedroom, dining room, and entertainment areas with meticulous detail. Located in Valencia, Spain, the 3rd generation Hurtado family owns a vibrant international manufacturing business which began in the 1930’s as a company of artisan craftsmen dedicated to specialized wood carvings and inlays. After the Spanish Civil war much time and effort was required to restore Cathedrals, Public Offices, and grand haciendas. This abundant foundation of talent has made Hurtado one of the most popular transitional furnishings maker in Europe – and now available to you in the Americas.
Each piece in the 14 different collections is a work of art, using only the finest in walnut and cherry woods. Justly famous for their immaculately executed inlays and unusual fitches of hardwood, the final creation is finished with a varied selection of stains and clear finishes. All hardware is forged of solid bronze, uniquely and distinctively created for each collection. Additional hand finishing with either gold or silver leaf completes these fine hand-crafted pieces.
Catalogue or customized orders are options and styles offered range from traditional to transitional contemporary.

Salvations
True design and artistry are words which come to mind with the inspired ironwork creations of Salvations, but words will not fully articulate what only the eye can see and the hand can touch. The execution of the concept behind each design is simply magnificent.
Since 1986, founder Barry Remley has been personally designing every piece which is then hand-forged by local blacksmiths and finished by artists located in Maryland, USA. Salvations produce tables, consoles, fire screens and drapery hardware as well as made-to-order custom designs. Form and function are an integral part of every piece.
Select from the many designs in the on-line catalogue collection, or custom create a one-of-a-kind design piece to exactly fit your needs. Make sure you drop into our showroom to see numerous pieces on display as this line truly need to be experienced to be fully appreciated.

Redford House
Samantha McClure, owner of Redford House, appears to be an unlikely dynamo when one first meets her. Looks can be deceiving! Her pleasant, unassuming demeanor and youthful smile give little hint that most everything this company does is researched, designed and controlled by this most talented woman. From sourcing design inspiration in the cluttered weekend markets of provincial France and Sweden, to refining the design elements for use here in North America, to the execution of hand-crafted production in their California-based plant, Samantha has her hands on every step of the process.
The end result is terrific. Glints of French and Swedish country design predominate in the product line. The pieces Samantha creates have a warm rusticity and, indeed, an old-world charm.
Romantic beds, dressers, nightstands and mirrors, country-kitchen tables, chairs and hutches, as well as entertainment units and various occasional pieces make Redford House an outstanding choice for the kick-back-and-relax, casual lifestyle for which Calgarian’s are so well known.
Redford House is constructed of alder wood which affords these pieces the strength associated with a hardwood, but the lighter weight we think of in softwood. The knots, grain patterns, and colour variations of alder give each piece unique charm and character.
All lines are available in a wide variety of both stained/clear finish alder as well as painted & distressed alder. |
